I live and work from my studio in North Devon which has beautiful views out onto my garden. After many years painting with acrylics and making collages, I felt a real urge to move into 3D. So I signed up for a ceramics degree at the University of Plymouth College, Petroc and have not looked back since!
I now make ceramic sculptures, wall art and hangings, and framed pieces. North Devon’s rich industrial textile heritage feeds into my work as well as a love of stitch, sewing and embroidery techniques. Slips and glazes made from locally found and prepared organic muds and earths are used for decoration and mixed media materials including leather, sewing thread and cord.
