A bit about me

I live on the North Devon coast working from a studio built on the back of my house. Never quite comfortable with my fine art training as a painter, I have discovered over the years that the secret of tapping into my creativity is walking and collecting. I love to make something new out of something that has had a previous life.

When I want to capture an idea, I gather together a pile of fabric scraps that evoke a colour or mood, fairly quickly cutting and shaping them into my background. Then the real work begins, stitching, adding more elements and bringing the foreground into focus.
