I like to create jewellery which is feminine and exciting, believing it equally important that it is both comfortable and a joy to wear.

Chris Cain’s lamps are organic, sculptural and made from recycled copper and handmade paper.

Caroline spends many hours gradually refining, cutting bits out and adding bits on, until suddenly, like magic, the animal emerges. Though similar, nothing is ever identical.

Currently I work in my studio in Ilfracombe, North Devon where the working harbour, history of smuggling and dramatic coastline have an increasing influence on my work. Some pieces begin with found objects and the questions that they throw up.

I am passionate about keeping the ancient art of hand weaving alive within a context of a world with so much increasing appreciation of handmade items and an awareness of the environmental and social impact of the textile industry. I was lucky enough to gain an apprenticeship with Sioni Rhys Hand Weavers, Pandy, Abergavenny, South Wales after completing an Art Foundation at Hereford College of Art and Design.

I moved to Woolacombe eight years ago where I work as a studio weaver and live with my husband and young son. I continue to hone my weaving skills with designs inspired by the power, colour and beauty of the traditional Welsh woven textiles which surround me.

My inspiration comes from where my life takes me physically and emotionally – the hectic cityscape and hustle and bustle of busy people or the roar of the wild sea and unimaginable colours that are flung together by nature.

Bill was an apprentice metalworker at Vosper Thorneycroft in Portsmouth prior to studying a degree in painting at West Surrey College of Art and Design, where he met Peach, who was studying glass (1986-’89).

Living and working now in Northam, North Devon, their inspiration is taken directly from their surroundings and experience. Mild steel is the main material employed in constructing their sculptures, using traditional metal forming techniques, with hand tools, hammers, formers, riveting, welding, hot working, etc. Polishing, heat-treatment, lacquering and galvanising are often employed for finishing pieces.
